The Texas Society of Clinical Oncology has once again expanded the competition to include fellows, residents and medical students with an interest in oncology/hematology. The TxSCO Trainee Abstract Competition is a unique opportunity to showcase groundbreaking research on clinical and scientific topics to experts nationwide at the TxSCO Annual Conference.
Four (4) leading abstracts selected by the committee will be presenting to professionals across the state of Texas. All winning first authors will be invited to attend the conference (travel expenses will be covered) and receive a monetary award of up to $750. Additionally, all first authors may be awarded with a chance to display their research poster at the annual conference.
To be eligible for trainee abstract awards, first authors must currently be training in Texas and maintain Texas residency. Attendance is required for all designated trainee activities, including the Trainee Session on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM, followed by the reception and evening dinner sessions. Full participation on Saturday, September 19, 2026, is also required.
Deadline Extended: Abstracts must be submitted electronically by Sunday, August 2, 2026, at TXSCO Trainee Abstract Competition | Ex Ordo.
